Analog Oscilloscope
Description
Analog oscilloscope is used to observe the change of an electrical signal over time. It uses electronic gun to emit electrons to the screen. The emitted electrons form into electron beam by focusing. Then the electron beam is irradiated to the screen coated with fluorescent material and gives out light. It shows the signal waveform by inputting signal which controls the deflection of electron beam.
Application
1. Analog oscilloscope is widely used in science, pharmacy, engineering and telecommunication industries.
2. It is capable of observing waveforms of different signal amplitudes over time. It can also be used to test different powers such as voltage, electric current, frequency, phase difference and amplitude modulation.

Precautions
1. Hot electronic equipment should avoid frequent start-up and shutdown.
2. If you find the waveform is influenced by outside interference, please make analog oscilloscope to be contacted with the ground.
3. Voltage of Y input wire should not be too high in case of damaging the apparatus. Even with maximum attenuation, it should not be more than 400V. Besides, Y input wire should avoid dangling.
4. Before shutting down the machine, turn the brightness adjustment knob to the end in counterclockwise direction first and then disconnect the power switch.
5. Analog oscilloscope should avoid moisture, dropping or dust.
6. When operator observes the bright spot in the screen and make adjustments, its brightness should be moderate.
7. By adjusting the brightness and focusing knob, you can turn the diameter of light spot to the minimum value to make the waveform clear. In result it helps to reduce the test error.
8. Analog oscilloscope is an unbalanced instrument and the black earth clamp should be connected to the ground. And when making connection, the black earth clamp should be installed first and then the probe. It is the probe first and then the black earth clamp when disconnecting.
Classification
Analog oscilloscope can be classified into 20 MHz, 20 MHz (with frequency counter), 30 MHz, 30 MHz (with frequency counter), 40 MHz, 60 MHz and 100 MHz types.
Maintenance
1. Keep power filter clean.
2. Please operate the instrument in regulated environment according to the manual.
3. Users had better not move the equipment. If it really needs to move, please handle it with great care.
4. LCD screen is the most easily damaged part of analog oscilloscope. Thus it should avoid hitting by hard objects or violent vibration. Don’t move it when it is charged or when it is power off just now.
5. When the probe and test leads are connected to the power line, please do not plug or unplug it casually.
6. If smoking, burning smell or grating anomaly occur, the equipment should be stopped immediately.
7. LCD screen should avoid direct sunlight or solarization. During usual times, it is better to cover it with black cloth.
8. Ensure good heat dissipation during working process. When it operates, do not cover it, place it in wooden cases or on the soft bedding or too close to the walls.
